Rugby practices have already begun at Old Boys, with an important amount of people. We are very lucky to count this year with Antonio Tchakidjian, "El Profe", who after his incursions in Colombian soccer returns to our club with his usual enthusiasm and energy to prepare our sqad for a long and tough season. We also have new coaches, for Pedro Bordaberry stepped forward to fill the hole left by Pepo Invernizzi (who left the club to coach the National sevens rugby team), and the coaching staff of the "B" has been joined by the "Gallego" Mera, who will add all his experience to help Juan Cat and Quique Garbino repeat the great level of performance achieved last season.

There is also a small tour to Chile scheduled for the last days of March, with a diverse delegation (including U 19's, Reserve and First team players).

This year the Club also has representatives in the National team, both XV a side and VII a side. In our National XV a side team, Juan Carlos Bado and Alfonso Cardoso are important parts of the team, who together with Carlos Rodríguez will help Uruguay to fight for a place in Wales 99. Sebastián Salveraglio and Diego Praderi are trainig very hard to achieve the same goal for our U-19's. And last but not least, our Seven a Side National team is training hard in order to have a good participation at the Hong Kong Sevens, led by Pepo Invernizzi and with several players from the club, such as Santiago Cat, Santiago Cardoso, Juan Andrés Perez, Juan Manuel Gutierrez, José Viana and Manuel Reyes (captain).

In the Champions Club section, you will find all the information regarding this Tournament organised by the Old Boys Club in the lovely city of Colonia. In the section of Uruguayan Tournament, you will find the positions of all teams of both First and Second Division, and in the 96 section, you´ll find all the information and statistics of that year´s performance.
